Forty Closed

Forty tickets resolved and graded. It is the volume badge, and it is the one nobody can talk their way into.

Forty Closed is the volume badge. It appears on a record once forty tickets have been resolved and graded, and it is the one badge on this page that nothing but the work can produce.

1. Closed means resolved and graded

A ticket counts when it has been worked to a resolution and then scored on every dimension. Abandoning a ticket does not count. Neither does closing one without the reasoning that has to go with it.

2. Nobody can talk their way into a count

Most claims on a CV are judgements, and a reader has to decide whether to believe them. A count is not a judgement. Either forty tickets are behind it or they are not.

3. Every one of the forty opens

The badge is not a number we assert. It is attached to the tickets that produced it, and each of those opens to the work, the scores and the person who signed them off.

Nothing here is awarded by hand. The badge is read off the record, and if the record changes the badge changes with it.

Badges come off the record itself. Nobody hands them out, and every one links to the work behind it.
